According to Massachusetts
General Laws 111 Sec. 72 G:

If you believe that a patient is being abused or
neglected, you must report it to the Department of
Public Health within 48 hours by calling 617-753-8150.

And if anyone ever tries to fire or punish you for reporting abuse or neglect, they are liable for
treble damages, costs and attorney's fees.
